Directions and Traffic Advisory: 405 Closure
Be aware that the 405 highway will be completely shut down in both directions between the 101 and 10 freeways -- a busy 10-mile stretch -- beginning the night of Friday, July 15 and ending 5 a.m. the following Monday morning.

Keeping the closure of highway 405 in mind...
From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) via city streets
Travel time: 30 – 40 minutes
Distance: 12 miles
- Exit the airport onto Century Boulevard – East, for 0.5 mile (0.8 kilometre)
- Turn left on La Cienega Boulevard – North, for 10 miles (16 kilometres)
- Turn left on Wilshire Boulevard, for 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometres)
- Turn left on El Camino Drive
- Make an immediate right through the green iron gates into the Hotel driveway for valet parking
From the Burbank (Bob Hope) Airport (BUR) via city streets
Travel time: 34 minutes (this is per Google Maps but LA traffic is extremely heavy both day and night, so it is advised to allow almost double the estimated time)
Distance: 12.7 miles

A word about the airports...
LAX is a large airport in Los Angeles; there are many flight options, but be aware it is a large and confusing airport.
Burbank's airport is still close and though it has fewer flight options, it is a very small airport and easy to navigate. Many people get overwhelmed at LAX...
